In today's era of Web Development, we are introduced to many cool, interesting and helpful CSS3 Frameworks. I am making this list for you so you could at least take a look at some of those.

As usual, this is not my top 10 list, but more of a list of 10 frameworks that I find interesting.

Bootstrap

Let’s start this list with Bootstrap. Bootstrap is probably the most popular HTML and CSS framework out there. It supports its stylings, components, widgets, and much much more.

Today, we can often see Bootstrap Themes and Templates integrated into large-scale applications, for easier UI control of those applications.

It was developed by Twitter developers and next to Bootstrap, it also shares the name of Twitter Bootstrap.

Up until now, we saw 5 versions of Bootstrap. The fourth version of it came with the biggest changes and the fifth version just improved on it.

From my perspective, every Front-End Developer should learn Bootstrap, as it can only help through the career.

Zurb Foundation

Zurb Foundation is often next in the line as it is a Framework used for any device, medium, and accessibility. Today, it is also used by big companies, like Amazon, eBay, Adobe, and others.

It will support us with a unique feature, called Foundation for Emails, which is a Framework for building responsive HTML5 Emails.

Skeleton

Skeleton as a Framework is highly lightweight and quite popular today because of it. It also has a fluid grid system, which goes into the positive side of it.

The newer versions of Skeleton evolved and also adapted the Mobile-First approach, similarly to Bootstrap has.

It is a nice alternative to Bootstrap, but only if you plan to build something small, so you don’t need to mess with all these big frameworks.

Bulma

Bulma is a newer Framework, but it offers value in its components and also examples for any kind of website that you can think about.

It comes in a variety of different colors and it is known in the community as a most beautiful CSS3 Framework.

There is a downside to it, it doesn’t support JavaScript. There are Bulma Extensions that you must install and use JavaScript Widgets from there.

PureCSS

Pure or PureCSS is a Framework that will support a bunch of CSS Modules. It is also a Lightweight Framework as Skeleton is and it will help us in terms of Responsive view for our pages.

It is named PureCSS because it will only support CSS and from it, we can expect features like Grid System, Menus, Forms, Buttons, and other CSS Components.

Bootflat

Bootflat is an open-source framework and it is built on Bootstrap 3. It was built to help developers in the creation of their stunning Web Designs, to faster and easier work with Front-End Technologies without repetitions.

Its supports multiple different color schemes and every component that we can see today on our Web. And as Bootstrap 3 is, Bootflat is also a Mobile-First Framework.

Materialize

Materialize is a modern Front-End Framework and it is based on Web Design from Google, called Material Design. By that, it is an advanced framework, but it's also as easy to use as Bootstrap is.

It will include all the good things from Material Design, like SaSS, Mixins, Drag-Out, Mobile Menus and if you are someone who is into Material Design, maybe this is just a Framework for you.

It will Support you with whole code chunks, well whole examples for entire websites, so you can pick and choose from those as well.

Cardinal

Now, regarding Cardinal, it is a CSS3 Framework that will give us High Performance, Scalability, and Maintainability.

It is Mobile First Framework as most CSS3 Frameworks are today, but it's much easier to build and scale applications with Cardinal.

With the latest support, it will support all modern browsers, like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, and others.

Groundwork

Groundwork is another responsive, lightweight, and flexible CSS3 Framework.

It will allow developers to create their scalable applications and it can be easily configured for their use case.

The whole Framework was built by using SaSS and Compas and that is one of the big reasons why we can customize it as we wish.

Tailwind

Now, a bit different framework, Tailwind. It is only paid Framework on this list. The reason for mentioning it is that, well it is probably the most advanced HTML and CSS Framework out there.

As a Framework it is highly customizable, it has a lot of examples, components and also it will hold advanced settings, like Dark and Light Mode for your Applications.

In their documentation, you will have a lot of options. One of those will be their Playground, where you will be able to copy their code chunks and customize it right there on a spot.

One of the main reasons why it's so advanced and popular, well, it can be easily installed and used in many leading JavaScript Frameworks. Some of those would be Vue, React, Nuxt, Next and others as well.

Conclusion
